SBRN has funding to help people living with spina bifida in New Jersey who are experiencing financial difficulties due to the cost of emergent or basic needs. The SBRN Community Fund (formerly the Disaster/ Emergency Rapid Assistance Fund) provides partial or full reimbursement for un-reimbursed expenses for healthcare or basic needs following a crisis or urgent need.
The Community Fund helps cover costs for medical supplies, healthcare costs and medications, adaptive equipment, home or car renovations or other basic needs (e.g., food or other supplies) in response to an urgent or unexpected need. There is a maximum award of $300 and individuals are limited to one-time per year assistance. Due to limited funding, we may not be able to fund all requests.
